A private tour for min. 4 participants addressed to visitors of Tuscany who are looking for something extraordinary: an exclusive access to the wonderful and monumental annex of this amazing Medicean estate!
Meet the guide at the entrance of the property – all info will be provided during the booking phase – and access the most wonderful and monumental farming estate in the whole area of Terre di Pisa.
Tracing back to the 15th Century, when the Medici family was expanding in our area, the villa is a majestic exemple of civil and military architecture.
Our guided walking tour of all the property starts from a charming boulevard lined by characteristic tall trees leading to a superb Medicean villa, still today the private residence of the Marquis. You have the unique opportunity to visit all the historical outbuildings of this stunning estate farm, with their original equipments and tools: an extensive granary, a curious bigattiera, a maze of underground wine cellars and even a source of fresh water from a spring in the woodland.
The property today hosts in his woods also some wild fauna, such as pheasants, deers and wildboars, and offers beautiful trails immersed in nature. The walk continues across the beautiful gardens surrounding the villa before taking a fascinating stroll – 1 km – along a boulevard of cypress trees that reaches a renowned restaurant on the property.
During our visit we’ll go back to the Medici time and we’ll discover the evolution of the villa and the surrounding area, deeply linked to this property. In the estate there are still many objects that are amazing witness of the past, and together with our guide we’ll learn their history. We’ll learn how they where preserving ice in the past, and how all the nearby community was taking part with his work in this huge Fattoria.
The walk continues across beautiful gardens and along a boulevard of tall cypress trees up to the restaurant of the property, where a full lunch or dinner based on locally made organic vegetables and meats is served – 2 courses and wine included.
The estate today is still a working farm and you can buy their organic products, of couse they produce extra virgin olive oil, wines, pasta and organic flours, grains, honey and marmelade that you can buy at the property.
The visit ends with an easy walk in the shade of a charming wood, to get back to your car.
